Gianni Laneri Deforné, b.1990, is a Chilean- German multidisciplinary speculative designer currently living and working in Berlin. He studied at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, where he (co-)developed various projects at the Ciudad Abierta (Open City) of Ritoque.

After finishing his Diploma in Chile, he moved to Berlin to complete his Master of Arts degree at the University of the Arts Berlin (UdK) in relation to the topic „transfect designsystems!“.

His works blur the intersection between art, technology and fiction; taking a variety of forms like- drawings, kinetic sculptures, gatherings, site-specific installations and hypothetical superstructures.

Thematizing our relation with the enviroment, with others and with ourselves; his intention is to create an “augmented” perception and a more sensitive understanding of our reality, our planet and the whole; that could help us to overcome the challenges of our times -leading us to live in a more creative, poetic and open world.
