At the centre of Ast(r)onishment lies the sensation of astonishment about comprehending when seeing things as if for the first time. This project takes place in the Ciudad Abierta (Open City) of Ritoque, Chile and reflects upon the concept of the earth floating in the universe and our relation to that phenomenon. For this purpose a cubic installation pointing to the south celestial pole with a 32 degrees inclination was created. Supporting a double- mirrored instrument that permits the drawing of the motion of the Southern Cross constellation.
