Polar reflection is a hypothetical superstructure built around the Earth poles that would be able to capture the Sun’s energy and divert it from reaching the poles, thus protecting the glaciers. Formed by a fleet of small reflective satellites, alligned they would form a gaint reflective surface. This colossal mirror could change the way we see and understand our planet Earth by enabling us to reflect on its reflection.
This planetary project is initially composed of a series of live events, centered around an array of stunning reflective spinning kites. Happenings that invite us to gather together to reflect, talk and experiment in collective actions; creating something to—gæther for our planet and the poles.
